Tiaras for Harriet Sperling

Tomorrow, the British Royal Family will gather to celebrate the Wedding of Peter Phillips and Harriet Sperling at the All Saints Church in Kemble, Cirencester. Princess Anne has quite a spectacular jewellery collection, so there are several possible Tiaras which could be worn by the bride tomorrow!

Mr Peter Phillips, the son of HRH The Princess Royal and Captain Mark Phillips and Ms Harriet Sperling, daughter of the late Mr Rupert Sanders and Mrs Mary Sanders of Gloucestershire,  confirmed their official engagement last July.

Both families were informed jointly of the announcement and were delighted with the wonderful news of their engagement.

The summer wedding will take place at All Saints Church, Kemble, Cirencester on Saturday 6th June 2026 in a private ceremony. Both families have been informed jointly of the wedding date by invitation.Their Majesties The King and Queen, The Prince and Princess of Wales have also been informed of the announcement.

Princess Andrew’s Meander Tiara

Our leading contender is Princess Andrew’s Meander Tiara, which was given by Princess Andrew of Greece to the late Queen in 1947, and passed to Princess Anne by 1968. It was notably worn by Zara Phillips, for her wedding to Mike Tindall in 2011 and would be the perfect Tiara for this occasion.

Diamond Festoon Tiara

When Peter Phillips married Autumn Kelly in 2009, the bride wore Princess Anne’s Diamond Festoon Tiara, which was a gift from the World Wide Shipping Group in 1973 though we think it unlikely that Harriet will choose to wear the same Tiara to avoid any associations.

Cartier Aquamarine Pineflower Tiara

Princess Anne also has the Cartier Aquamarine Pineflower Tiara, which was acquired by King George VI for Queen Elizabeth in 1938, given as a Wedding Gift to Princess Anne in 1973. It is quite an unusual piece but would be a striking choice for a wedding tiara.

Queen Mother’s Double Meander Tiara

A surprising choice would be the Queen Mother’s Double Meander Tiara, which has an unknown provenance, but possibly originates from the Greville Bequest, and was worn by Princess Anne only once, in 2005.
