King Felipe VI and Queen Letizia of Spain presided over the Awarding of the 2024 Planeta Novel Prize during the Literary Dinner held at the Museu Nacional d’Art de Catalunya in Barcelona on the evening of October 15th.
King Felipe and Queen Letizia presided over the institutional event to celebrate the 75th anniversary of Grupo Planeta, which José Manuel Lara Hernández founded in 1949, where the 73rd edition of the “Planeta Novel Prize” was awarded.
The 2024 Planeta Novel Prize is endowed with 1,000,000 euros for the winning work and 200,000 euros for the finalist. The LXXIII edition of the Planeta Prize has a high participation; A total of 1,070 novels have been submitted this year. Once again the interest that the award arouses in the field of literature in Spain and Latin America is confirmed.
