This weekend, Royalty from around Europe will join Spanish Nobility for the Wedding of Victoria López-Quesada y Borbón, granddaughter of the late Duke of Calabria, and Enrique Moreno de la Cova Ybarra, a grandson of the late Count and Countess of Ybarra! 30 years ago, the Royal Guests and Relatives gathered for the Wedding of her parents, Princess Cristina of Bourbon-Two Sicilies and Don Pedro López-Quesada, at the Bourbon-Two Sicilies Estate in Ciudad Real.
The Spanish Royal Family and Spanish Aristocracy gathered to celebrate the Wedding of Victoria López-Quesada y Borbón and Enrique Moreno de la Cova Ybarra at the Soto Mozanaque Estate in Algete.
The religious ceremony took place outdoors, in the main courtyard of the family’s home at La Toledana, the Bourbon-Two Sicilies estate located in between the cities of Toledo and Ciudad Real. This vast property was acquired by the Princess’ paternal grandparents, Infante Alfonso and Infanta Alicia, in 1941.
Princess Cristina is the eldest daughter of the late Prince Carlos of Bourbon-Two Sicilies, Duke of Calabria, and Princess Anne of Orléans while Don Pedro is the second child and only son of Don Pedro López-Quesada and Doña Adela Fernández-Urrutia, and one of King Felipe VI’s closest friends since his youth.
Princess Cristina wore a white gown featuring a prominent corset with an embroidered v-neckline, long sleeves, a voluminous balloon skirt and a several meter train designed by Lorenzo Caprile. The bride wore the Habsburg Diamond Button Tiara, an heirloom jewel from her maternal grandmother’s collection, and the same old lace veil that her mother, Princess Anne, wore on her wedding day in 1965.
The ceremony was presided by the Spanish Royal Family at full: King Juan Carlos I, Queen Sofia, the then Prince of Asturias, Infanta Elena, and Infanta Cristina.
Also in attendance were the bride’s maternal and paternal grandmothers, Princess Isabelle, dowager Countess of Paris, and Infanta Alicia, dowager Duchess of Calabria (wearing Queen Marie Antoinette’s Pearl Necklace and Diamond and Aquamarine Earrings), as well as Infanta Pilar, Infanta Margarita, and Don Alfonso Zurita, the Duke of Soria in addition to Royal Guests and Relatives from around Europe.
