Prince Emmanuel of Belgium

Happy Birthday to Prince Emmanuel of Belgium, who turns 18 today! The third child and younger son of King Philippe and Queen Mathilde of Belgium, he is currently the third in line to the Belgian Throne of Belgium after his sister, the Duchess of Brabant, and brother, Prince Gabriel. Prince Emmanuel was christened at Ciergnon Castle and his godparents are his maternal aunt Countess Elisabeth d’Udekem d’Acoz, Margravine Pallavicini and Hereditary Grand Duke Guillaume of Luxembourg.

In 2012, Prince Emmanuel left St John Berchmans College in Brussels, to enroll at the Eureka school in Kessel-Lo, which catered to gifted children who have dyslexia. Since the summer of 2020, Prince Emmanuel has been studying at the International School of Brussels obtaining an international baccalaureate, and is fluent in French, Dutch and English. Prince Emmanuel likes to practice cycling, swimming, skiing, windsurfing, running and sailing, and he also plays the flute and saxophone.

Prince Emmanuel lives with his parent sad younger sister in the Royal Chateau de Laeken, and regularly volunteers in support of the most vulnerable. During the corona crisis, the Prince had several conversations over the phone with isolated elderly people in residential care centers in order to support and encourage them, and has also been involved in a youth movement for several years. We wish HRH a very Happy Birthday and Many Happy Returns!
