Happy Birthday to Princess Sarvath of Jordan, who turns 76 today! The daughter of illustrious Diplomats who was the Jordanian Crown Princess for over 30 years, Princess Sarvath is close to many European Royal Families, and having attended many royal events, she possesses a lovely jewellery collection, which includes this Diamond Brooch!
A striking square diamond brooch of unknown provenance, this piece seems to have first appeared at the Funeral of Prince Claus of the Netherlands in 2002.
A few years later, Princess Sarvath wore the Square Diamond Brooch with her Diamond Tiara for the Wedding of Crown Princess Victoria of Sweden in 2010.
Another appearance of the Square Diamond Brooch came at the Funeral of Grand Duke Jean of Luxembourg in 2019.
Last year, Princess Sarvath wore the Square Diamond Brooch for the Duke of Edinburgh’s Memorial Service at Westminster Abbey.
Just a few months later, Princess Sarvath wore the Square Diamond Brooch again for Queen Elizabeth II’s Committal Service at St George’s Chapel in Windsor Castle, which came just a few months after she had joined the late Queen for the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee: A Gallop Through History.
More recently, the Square Diamond Brooch was worn by Princess Sarvath at the Funeral of the Margrave of Baden, another close family friend, earlier this year. There is no doubt we will will continue to see this striking jewel for years to come!
