Crown Prince Haakon and Crown Princess Mette-Marit in London

Crown Prince Haakon and Crown Princess Mette-Marit of Norway are on an Official Visit to the United Kingdom to celebrate the close relationship between Norwegians and Britons. The visit aims to promote an increased business sector with a focus on green industrial transition, innovation and energy – alongside a promotion of Norwegian literature and music.

Crown Prince Haakon spoke at the opening of the business conference “A strong partnership for the Green Industrial Transition”, which brings together Norwegian and British business actors in areas such as energy, technology and finance for increased Norwegian-British cooperation for the green shift.

Meanwhile, Crown Prince Haakon and Crown Princess Mette-Marit met Norwegian writers Karl Ove Knausgard, Siri Helle and Lars Mytting during a literary talk at the Norwegian Ambassador’s Residence in London, before visiting a skatepark in Brixton.

In the evening, Crown Prince Haakon and Crown Princess Mette-Marit attended for the ‘Norway Night Networking Reception’ at Lindley Hall in London, where they gave a speech.

 

On their second day, Crown Prince Haakon and Crown Princess Mette-Marit were received by the Prince and Princess of Wales at Windsor Castle, holding a meeting with representatives from leading Norwegian businesses working on green energy solutions.
