Sverigemiddag at the Royal Palace of Stockholm

The Swedish Royal Family hosted the annual Sverigemiddag (Sweden Dinner) at the Royal Palace of Stockholm on the evening of January 20th. The dinner, first held in 2013, is for all Swedes who have made an important contribution to society.

Crown Princess Victoria, Prince Daniel, Prince Carl Philip, and Princess Sofia joined King Carl XVI Gustaf and Queen Silvia (wearing King Carl XVI Gustaf’s Portrait Brooch) to greet the guests in the Serafimersalen, after which the Royal Family proceeded to view the concert in the Rikssalen, at which a new Jubilee March was first performed, followed by dinner in the Festvåningen.

The previous evening, Crown Princess Victoria, Prince Carl Philip, and Princess Christina joined King Carl XVI Gustaf and Queen Silvia to attend the Swedish Royal Opera’s 250th Anniversary Gala at the Kungliga Operan in Stockholm.
