Consisting of a necklace of seed pearls with one large rectangular aquamarine with an oval aquamarine pendant and two adjoining octagonal aquamarines, as we all as pair-shaped aquamarine earrings, and a brooch composed either of three oval aquamarines or two oval aquamarines with a large pear-shaped pendant, the provenance of this spectacular suite is unknown though the style of the setting indicates an early 20th century origin.

Princess Michael began wearing this Seed Pearl and Aquamarine Suite soon after her marriage to Prince Michael of Kent in 1978, being usually worn for black tie galas with a series of striking evening dresses.

The Aquamarine Suite was most often worn during the 1990s, most notably for the Wedding Gala of Princess Alexia of Greece at Bridgewater House in London in 1999. Princess Michael has also worn several Aquamarine elements over the past few years, including at a Service for the late Queen’s 60th Coronation Anniversary Service in 2013.
