The Prince and Princess of Wales (wearing Queen Mary’s Art Deco Emerald Choker and her Emerald Earrings) joined Infanta Elena of Spain at the Anglo-Spanish Society’s bi-annual Ball at Syon House in London on this day in 1987, a few months after their visit to Spain and a Holiday with the Spanish Royal Family at the Marivent Palace in Palma de Mallorca. The Duke of Wellington (Duke of Ciudad Rodrigo in Spain) was also present while the rest of the Spanish Royal Family were then on a State Visit to Thailand.
