Spanish State Visit to Thailand, 1987

King Bhumibol Adulyadej (wearing the Order ofCharles III) and Queen Sirikit of Thailand (in her Modern Floral Tiara and the Order of Charles III) host a glittering State Banquet at the Royal Palace in Bangkok in honour of King Juan Carlos (wearing the Order of the Rajamitrabhorn), Queen Sofia (in the Mellerio Shell Tiara and the Order of Chula Chom Klao) and Infanta Cristina of Spain (in the Spanish Floral Tiara) on this day in 1986, on the first Day of their State Visit to Thailand. Other events included a tour of the Temple of the Emerald Buddha, a visit to an agricultural farm of Chiang Mai, and a cruise on the Chao Phraya river. The State Visit to Thailand was followed by a State Visit to Nepal.
