Wedding of Countess Madeleine Bernadotte and Count Charles-Albert Ullens de Schooten Whettnall, 1962

The Wedding of Countess Madeleine Bernadotte (wearing a Pearl and Diamond Coronet), daughter of Prince Carl Bernadotte and Countess Elsa von Rosen, and Jonkheer Charles-Albert Ullens de Schooten Whettnall at the Catholic Eugenia Church in Stockholm on this day in 1962, 60 years ago. Jonkheer Charles-Albert was made the Count de Schooten-Whetnall by the bride’s cousin, King Baudouin of Belgium. The couple had four children before divorcing in 1980.

Royal Guests and relatives in attendance included King Olav V and Crown Prince Harald of Norway,  Prince Axel of Denmark and Princess Margaretha of Sweden and Denmark, Princess Sibylla and Princess Désirée of Sweden
