The Wedding of Archduke Joseph Árpád of Austria, son of Archduke Joseph Francis of Austria and Princess Anna of Saxony, and Princess Maria of Löwenstein-Wertheim-Rosenberg, daughter of the 8th Prince of Löwenstein-Wertheim-Rosenberg and Donna Carolina dei Conti Rigno, at the Kloster Bronnbach in Wertheim am Main on this day in 1956, following a Ball at Schloss Löwenstein in Kleinheubach. Archduke Joseph Árpád was the Head of the Hungarian Palatine branch of the House of Habsburg-Lorraine and the couple had eight children and twenty-nine grandchildren, both passing away in 2017.

Royal Guests and Relatives included King Umberto II of Italy, Archduke Otto von Habsburg, the future Queen Paola of Belgium, Princess Marie-Adelaide of Luxembourg, Princess Maria-Gabriella of Bavaria, Princess Isabelle and Princess Anne d’Orleans, Princess Françoise and Princess Marie-Therese of Bourbon-Parma, Duchess Margrethe and Duchess Marie-Thérèse of Württemberg among many others.
