King Harald V of Norway (wearing the Order of St. Olav and the Royal Norwegian Order of Merit) was joined by Queen Sonja (wearing Queen Alexandra’s Maltese Cross with the Order of St. Olav and the Royal Family Order of King Olav V) as he swore an oath of allegiance to the Norwegian Constitution in a formal Ceremony at the Stortinget in Oslo on this day in 1991, a few days following the Death of King Olav V and a few months before his Enthronement in Trondheim.
