Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary of Denmark have just completed an Official Visit to South Korea from May 20th to the 22nd, to focus on sustainable energy and urban development, health and welfare technology as well as food and lifestyle and to strengthen the connections and the strategic partnership between the two countries and create visibility about the cooperation opportunities and positions of Danish companies in South Korea. 2019 marks the 60th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Denmark and South Korea.
The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall have just completed an Official Visit to Germany from May 7th-10th, at the request and on behalf of the British Government, to demonstrate the depth and breadth of the UK–Germany bilateral relationship and its enduring importance to both countries. The visit highlighted key themes in the relationship, as well as the shared history and cultural connections. The Prince of Wales has visited Germany several times, both publicly and privately, most notably with the late Princess in 1987, while the Duchess of Cornwall made an official visit in 2009.
The Duke of Cambridge is on a visit to New Zealand on behalf of The Queen, at the request of the Prime Minister of New Zealand, on April 25th and 26th, to pay tribute to those affected by the Christchurch mosques terrorist attack, and to recognise the incredible empathy and unity displayed by the people of New Zealand in the weeks that followed. The Prince of Wales and Duchess of Cornwall have just completed an Official Visit to Cuba, as part of a long tour of six countries in the Caribbean from March 17 to the 29th. This was the first official visit by a member of the Royal Family to Cuba. The Prince and Duchess’ visit highlighted cultural and academic connections, links between the people of the U.K. and Cuba, and explore key themes, such as the arts, youth entrepreneurship, heritage restoration and sustainable agriculture.
Crown Princess Mary of Denmark is on a Visit to the American cities of Houston and Austin in the State of Texas from March 10 to 13, to promote Danish business, especially at the “South by Southwest” festival in Austin. King Willem-Alexander and Queen Máxima of The Netherlands visited the Free Hanseatic City of Bremen in Germany on March 6th. The Royal couple annually visit one or more German federal states, with special attention to improving economic relations. They visited Rhineland-Palatinate and Saarland last year, and will visit Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania and Brandenburg in May. Continue reading

Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary of Denmark are on an Official Visit to Latvia on December 6th and 7th, to celebrate the Centenary of Independence. King Willem-Alexander of the Netherlands, Crown Prince Haakon and Crown Princess Mette-Marit of Norway, Crown Princess Victoria and Prince Daniel of Sweden, and the Earl and Countess of Wessex are among the other Royals that have also visited Latvia this year as part of visits to the Baltic States to mark their Centenary of Independence. The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge undertook two engagements in support of deployed military personnel and their families who will be apart over the festive period in London and Cyprus on December 4th and 5th. Queen Margrethe II of Denmark visited Iceland on the 1st of December, to mark the 100th anniversary of Iceland’s Independence from the Kingdom of Denmark. Until 1944, Iceland remained in a Federation with Denmark as ‘the Kingdom of Iceland’ (the Queen received the Icelandic name of Þórhildur when she was born in 1940), when it declared itself a Republic. The Danish Royal Family hosted the President and First Lady last year and attended a Concert to mark the Centenary in October. Continue reading
