The Prince of Wales and Duchess of Cornwall have been in Rwanda for the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM), which brings together the leaders of the 54 Commonwealth countries to reaffirm common values and agree on policies to improve the lives of its 2.5 billion citizens.

On the second day of the visit, the Prince of Wales attended the Commonwealth Business Forum Exhibition and visited the Integrated Polytechnic Regional College while the Duchess of Cornwall visited the Kigali Public Library and gave a speech at the Violence Against Women and Girls event at the Kigali Convention Centre. The Prince visited Umusambi Village and attended a Sustainable Markets Leader-Level Roundtable and a Summit on Malaria and Neglected Tropical Diseases. In the evening, the Prince and Duchess attended Kigali Fashion Week, where they met with attendees and models, before taking their seats to enjoy the fashion show.

On their final day in Rwanda, the Prince of Wales and Duchess of Cornwall attended the Opening Ceremony of the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting, at which the Prince gave a speech. The Prince also hosted a reception to welcome new Heads of Government from across the Commonwealth. In the evening, the Prince of Wales and Duchess of Cornwall (wearing her Modern Diamond Earrings, the Royal Family Order of Queen Elizabeth II, and a Diamond Star of the Order of the Garter but no Tiara) hosted a Dinner for the Commonwealth Heads of Government.
