Dutch State Visit to Greece

King Willem-Alexander and Queen Máxima of the Netherlands are on a State Visit to Greece at the invitation of President Katerina Sakellaropoulou, from October 31st to November 2nd in Athens and Thessaloniki, after being delayed twice. The Netherlands and Greece are jointly committed to an open, innovative and safe and stable Europe. During the visit, attention will be paid to cooperation in the field of innovation, sustainability, migration and human rights and the partnership within the European Union.

Queen’s Three-Strand Pearl Necklace

Princess of Asturias Awards 2022

King Felipe and Queen Letizia of Spain, joined by the Princess of Asturias and Infanta Sofia, are in Oviedo this week to preside over the 2022 Princess of Asturias Awards, to deliver a series of prizes to individuals, entities or companies from around the world who make notable achievements in the sciences, humanities, and public affairs. Established in 1980, the Princess of Asturias Foundation is a private non-profit institution, whose objectives are to contribute to the exaltation and promotion of how many scientific, cultural and humanistic values are universal heritage and consolidate their links to the Principality of Asturias. Queen Victoria Eugenie’s Chaumet Tiara

Today marks the 135th Anniversary of the Birth of Queen Victoria Eugenie of Spain, who was born on this day in 1887! Queen Ena had a splendid jewellery collection, full of family heirlooms and contemporary acquisitions and commissions. Many of her jewels remain with the Spanish Royal Family, and are now worn by Queen Sofia and Queen Letizia but today we are featuring an exquisite piece which was sold a few years ago!
