Members of the British Royal family celebrated the Queen’s Official Birthday by attending the annual Trooping the Colour ceremony in London on June 8th. They rode in carriages to inspect the guards at Horse Guards Parade and then watched a flypast on the Balcony of Buckingham Palace. Continue reading
The Queen and members of the Royal Family are hosting the President of the United States of America, President Donald Trump and First Lady Melania Trump during their State Visit to the United Kingdom from June 3rd to June 5th. Happy Birthday to the Duchess of Kent, who turns 86 today! One of the longest-working members of the Royal Family, who has been largely retired for the past two decades, the Duchess once had access to an illustrious jewellery collection, which we have featured previously, and much of which has been modified or sold. The Queen and Duke of Edinburgh hosted their annual Christmas Lunch for members of the extended British Royal Family at Buckingham Palace on December 19th. This lunch is held for those family members who aren’t invited to spend Christmas with the Queen at Sandringham in Norfolk, due to lack of space. The Queen and members of the Royal Family attended the annual Remembrance Day Service at the Cenotaph in London on Remembrance Sunday, November 11th, marking the centenary of the Armistice and the end of the First World War. Princess Eugenie of York, younger daughter of Prince Andrew, Duke of York and Sarah, Duchess of York, married Jack Brooksbank at St. George’s Chapel, Windsor Castle on October 12th. The bride is 9th-in-line to the Throne, and the first of the Queen’s male-line granddaughters to get married. The couple announced their engagement in January. Continue reading
