After State Visits to Sweden, Norway, Greenland, Finland and France, King Frederik X and Queen Mary of Denmark are concluding their tour of the Baltic States with a State Visit to Lithuania, after their State Visits to Latvia and to Estonia!
King Frederik X and Queen Mary were received by President Gitanas Nausėda and First Lady Diana Nausėdienė in an Official Welcome Ceremony at the Presidential Palace in Vilnius, followed by an extended meeting between the Lithuanian and Danish delegations.
The King had a meeting with the Prime Minister of Lithuania, Inga Ruginienė, while Queen Mary and the First Lady visited the Ukrainian Center in Vilnius.
In the evening, Lithuanian President Gitanas Nausėda and First Lady Diana Nausėdienė held a State Banquet in honour of King Frederik X and Queen Mary at the Presidential Palace in Vilnius. Both the King and President gave speeches.
Queen Mary wore her Diamond Necklace Tiara and Diamond Earrings with King Frederik X’s Portrait Order, and the Grand Cross of the Order of Vytautas the Great.

What a thrilling surprise seeing the photos from the State Banquet in Lithuania! A proper white-tie dress code. I belive this is the first time I have seen this held in Lithuania for a State Visit. I really hope that this is now going to be the new standard and that we will be able to see tiaras always at State Banquets in all three Baltic states! If so, I cannot wait for more State Visits to these countries, especially now at these precarious times to show support.
It really was so exciting!
