The Duchess of Gloucester hosted the annual Garden Party for the Not Forgotten Association at Buckingham Palace on May 16th. There are usually three annual Garden Parties hosted by the Royal Family at Buckingham Palace and the Palace of Holyrood House for around 30,000 guests yearly, as well as a few special others, which includes today’s Garden Party.
Hosted by the Duchess of Gloucester, veterans, current Army, Navy and RAF personnel and their guests were invited in recognition of their service.
The Not Forgotten Association supports those who have served in the Armed Forces and are living with injury, illness or isolation.The charity provides entertainment, leisure and recreation for ex-service men and women and serving personnel who are wounded, injured or sick.
The garden party brought together 2,000 beneficiaries of all ages and from across the UK and all military services.
