The Jewels of Bridgerton

Throughout the past two seasons of Bridgerton, we have seen various spectacular period-appropriate jewels and recreations of royal heirlooms worn by the Ladies of Bridgerton, which we are examining to mark the release of the Season 3 Trailer!

Throughout the serious, over various episodes, the character of Lady Bridgerton has worn a striking Topaz and Seed Pearl Suite, comprising a  Regency Necklace and Pair of Earrings with a smaller Tiara, which is rather period-appropriate.

Early in season one, Daphne Bridgerton wore a striking Diamond Tiara and a period-appropriate Regency Diamond Necklace, which she later wore for her portrait as Duchess of Hastings. The Tiara and Necklace were later worn by Eloise Bridgerton for her first Ball as a debutante in season two.

As a debutante, Daphne wore a Regency Gold Tiara and a delicate Diamond Tiara, but the most prominent jewel was a Diamond Bandeau and delicate Necklace, which was worn for a Ball in season one, before being worn by the now Duchess of Hastings for the Ball at Aubrey Hall in season two.

No look at the jewels would be complete without mentioning when Daphne received a striking Diamond Necklace from Prince Friedrich of Prussia which she later wore for a Ball and then left in the garden.

For her Wedding to the Duke of Hastings, Daphne Bridgerton wore a splendid Diamond Floral Tiara, which likely represents an heirloom of the Bridgerton Family, and could have been worn in a different form by Lady Bridgerton for Daphne’s Presentation to Queen Charlotte.

As there had been no Duchess of Hastings for several decades, as Duchess, Daphne wears rather minuscule jewels, including a delicate Diamond Suite worn for the iconic Hastings Ball at the end of season one and was identical to the suite worn for Eloise Bridgerton’s Presentation to Queen Charlotte in season two.

Early in season one, Lady Bridgerton wore a delicate suite of seed pearls, which was also worn in season two, with a Pearl Tiara for Eloise Bridgerton’s Presentation to Queen Charlotte.

Lady Bridgerton also wore several delicate Diamond Floral Tiaras and Necklaces, as well a Pearl Suite, and a large Sapphire and Diamond Suite, which all seem period-appropriate.

Through season one and two, Eloise Bridgerton wore several delicate Diamond Tiaras and Necklaces at various Balls, though glimpses of Francesca Bridgerton in the season three trailer do not show prominent jewels.

Throughout the series, the Featherington Family, led by Lady Featherington, have had a very maximalist style in contrast to the Bridgertons, and that continues to the jewels, which seem as retro-inspired as their outfits.

A jewel worn prominently by Lady Featherington through multiple episodes is a peridot and diamond necklace, which is very period-appropriate.

In the trailer of season three, we get a glimpse of the jewels of Penelope Featherington, which seem to have a theme of Diamond Stars, which seems like a nod to Empress Elisabeth’s iconic Diamond Stars.

In season two, the Sharma Family wore numerous parures without much continuity, though they had a subtle Indian theme as a nod to their Indian heritage.

In the series, the character of Queen Charlotte is known for her over-the-top Georgian outfits and wigs, paired with striking jewels.

We got an amazing glimpse of the Queen’s jewel room in episode six of season two.

In season one, Queen Charlotte is depicted wearing a parure with blue stones in two separate episodes, the Tiara of which is a replica of the Brazilian Aquamarine Tiara created for the late Queen in 1971.

Lady Danbury has worn various striking Parures over the different seasons, but the most prominent of which was this striking Diamond Tiara, which looks to be inspired by the Princess de Réthy’s Cartier Flower Tiara.
