When Countess Madeleine Bernadotte married Count Charles-Albert Ullens de Schooten Whettnall in 1962, she received this striking Diamond Bracelet as a Wedding Gift from her groom, which was more often worn as as a Bandeau Tiara.

A few years later, Countess Madeleine wore the Diamond Bracelet Bandeau for the Wedding of her first cousin, Crown Prince Harald of Norway, and Sonja Haraldsson in Oslo in 1968.

Countess Madeleine was also pictured wearing the Diamond Bracelet Bandeau with her Sapphire Suite for a Gala in the early 1970s.

In 1974, Countess Madeleine was seen wearing the Diamond Bracelet Bandeau for the Wedding of Princess Christina of Sweden in Stockholm.

Following their divorce in 1980, the jewel remained with Count Charles-Albert, but in 1996, the Diamond Bracelet Bandeau was worn by their second daughter, Countess Astrid Ullens de Schooten Whettnall, for her Wedding to Lionel Jadot.

Countess Madeleine is now frequently seen wearing the Von Rosen Tiara, which is thought to have been loaned by the family of her half-brother, Count Jan-Carl von Rosen. We wish her a very Happy Birthday and Many Happy Returns!
