Queen Margrethe II of Denmark was joined by Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary as she hosted a New Year’s Levée for the Supreme Court and the Officer Corps of the Royal Life Guard and Royal Hussar Guard Regiments at Christian VII’s Palace, Amalienborg on January 3rd, before being escorted by the Gardehusarregimentets Hesteskorte in the famous Guldkareten for the New Year’s Levée for the Diplomatic Corps at Christiansborg Palace. This comes after the Queen hosted a New Year’s Banquet on the 1st.

Queen Margrethe wore a new Court Dress (for the first time in 25 years) with Pearl Earrings, the Danish Pearl Poire Brooch, the Sash and Star of the Order of the Elephant, and the insignia of her other Orders.
Crown Prince Frederik wore Uniform with his medals, the Sash and Star of the Order of the Elephant, and the insignia of his other Orders. Crown Princess Mary repeated her a blue gown with pearl earrings, the Sash and Star of the Order of the Elephant, and Queen Margrethe’s Family Order.
