Prince Charles and Princess Anne joined the Queen and Duke of Edinburgh to pose for their future brother-in-law and uncle, Antony Armstrong-Jones, later Lord Snowdon, at Buckingham Palace on this day in 1957 (65 years ago).
The most iconic images were taken on a bridge in the gardens at Buckingham Palace (which I spotted while exiting the Palace when the Queen passed away)
The family also posed in the White Drawing Room at Buckingham Palace
There were also portraits taken of the Queen (wearing the George IV State Diadem and Queen Victoria’s Golden Jubilee Necklace) and Duke of Edinburgh, including one used on the cover of British Vogue earlier this year.
thank you for the article
