Princess of Girona Foundation Awards 2022

The Princess of Asturias, who also holds the title of Princess of Girona, was joined by King Felipe, Queen Letizia, and Infanta Sofia for the 2022 Princess of Girona Foundation Awards Ceremony in Barcelona. The Princess of Girona Awards are given in the categories of Arts and Letters, Business, Scientific Research and the Social field, for young people who stand out for a brilliant, constant and determined career, which contributes value and with the clear will to induce changes in our society, through cooperation and effort.

King Felipe, Queen Letizia, and Infanta Sofia joined the Princess of Asturias and Girona for the Princess of Girona Foundation Awards Ceremony at the Ágora Auditorium of the AGBAR Water Museum in Cornellà de Llobregat in Barcelona, at which the awards were presented to to the actress, playwright and producer María Hervás (in the category of Arts and Letters) ; the engineer Elisenda Bou-Balust (Company category); the physicist and researcher Eleonora Viezzer (Scientific Research); the psychologist and social entrepreneur Claudia Tecglen (Social category) and the conservationist Trang Nguyen (International Award).

On the 3rd of July, the Princess of Austurias and Infanta Sofía attended a work session prior to the delivery of the 2022 Princess of Girona Awards, in which young participants explained the new projects of the foundation, at the Dalí Museum in Figueres. The following morning, the King and Queen accompanied their daughters at a meeting of winners from previous editions at the Palacete Albéniz.
