A splendid Tiara designed as five detachable graduated palmettes, each set with a cushion-shaped sapphire enhanced, this piece was formerly in the Collection of Johanna Loisinger, Countess of Hartenau, a singer who became the wife of Prince Alexander of Battenberg, former Sovereign Prince of Bulgaria and Count of Hartenau, making her the sister-in-law of Princess Beatrice, Princess Victoria, Marchioness of Milford Haven, and Princess Anna of Montenegro, and the aunt of Queen Victoria Eugenie of Spain, Queen Louise of Sweden, Princess Alice of Greece and Lord Mountbatten.

A historically important sapphire and diamond brooch and a pair ear clips comes from a European Princely Family, and was formerly in the legendary collection of Grand Duchess Vladimir, being smuggled out of Russia during the Revolution and being inherited by her only daughter, the Grand Duchess Elena Vladimirovna, Princess Nicholas of Greece, whose descendants sold the pieces at Sotheby’s Geneva in 2009.
