Prince Franz Josef II and Princess Gina of Liechtenstein hosted the Queen and Duke of Edinburgh at Schloss Vaduz on this day in 1980, during a Holiday in Liechtenstein ahead of a State Visit to Switzerland. Prince Phillip’s sister and brother-in-law, Princess Sophie of Greece and Prince George William of Hannover, were also present in Vaduz. The Princely Family had hosted the Duke with Prince Charles and Princess Anne in 1965.
