King Carl XVI Gustaf and Queen Silvia were joined by Crown Princess Victoria, Prince Daniel, Prince Carl Philip, and Princess Sofia as they attended a series of events to commemorated the Opening of the session of Parliament (Riksmötets Öppnande) on September 10th in Stockholm. In the morning, the Royal Family attended a church service at the Storkyrkan Church in Stockholm, followed by arrival at the Riksdag (Parliament) in carriages for the Opening Ceremony, where King Carl-Gustav gave a speech, at the conclusion of which, he said: “I hereby declare 2019/2020 Parliamentary Session open.” In the evening, the Royal Family attended a concert at the Stockholm Concert Hall in honour of the Opening of the Riksdag.
