The Duchess of Cambridge (wearing the Irish Guards Brooch) took the Salute at the Household Division’s Beating Retreat at Horse Guards Parade in London on the evening of June 6th, an annual event ahead of Trooping the Colour on Saturday. The Beating Retreat is an evening spectacular involving a military parade and fireworks, during which the Duchess acknowledged the salute given by the troops.
