Prince Christian of Hanover married Peruvian Alessandra de Osma at the San Pedro Church in Lima, Peru on March 16th. The bride was given away by her father, while the groom arrived with his mother. The reception was held at the Club Nacional. The couple got married in a civil ceremony in London in November. Guests included Crown Prince Pavlos, Princess Maria Olympia, and Princess Philipos of Greece, Princess Beatrice, and Princess Eugenie among a host of relatives, royals, and aristocrats. His elder brother, Prince Ernst August, got married in Hanover last year.

  1. What a beautiful bride! I was hoping to see the Brunswick Tiara, but she opted for the Hanoverian Floral tiara just like her sister-in-law. It was probably the better choice since her elaborate, lacy dress needed a big presence for balance. She’s wearing it very straight up as well in order to gain a fuller height than Princess Ekaterina did a few months ago.

It was so nice to see her new sister-in-law Princess Alexandra help with the dress, though I don’t know if that was intentional or if it just “happened”. Princess Alexandra wasn’t wearing what could be interpreted as a “bridesmaid’s dress”, so I don’t know if she actually was one. It doesn’t really matter since what’s important is that she was there in support of her brother. I wonder if Prince Ernst Augustus senior was present. He didn’t attend his other son’s wedding, but maybe he’s calmed down since then? 🙂

    1. I agree by what you mean with the tiara! We barely get to see them, and some variety would have been nice! Prince Ernst Augustus senior was there as was his son! Apparently there is still conflict, but he thought to put that aside for the wedding!
