The Queen and Duke of Edinburgh pose for a photoshoot at Balmoral Castle in Aberdeenshire on this day in 1976. Among the rooms featured are the Library and Drawing Room of the Castle, which we recently saw in pictures taken of the Queen receiving the Governor General Designate of Canada and the Governor General of Australia in the Library and Drawing Room respectively, showing us how little the decor has changed.
