King Willem-Alexander and Queen Máxima of the Netherlands attended a Gala for the Raad van State (Council of State) at Noordeinde Palace in The Hague on September 13th.

King Willem-Alexander wore Black Tie. Queen Máxima repeated a green Lanvin gown with a floral necklace with a large emerald clasp, large emerald drop earrings, an emerald and diamond bracelet, and a brooch from the Dutch Emerald Parure.

I love that green dress and I love the emerald parure! Quuen Maxima is looking fabulous, even though she just lost her beloved father. I kind of see a little sadness behind her eyes, but she’s doing her job, supporting her husband and representing her adopted country in style. I really wish her well.
