Wedding of Queen Margrethe and Prince Henrik of Denmark

Happy 50th Wedding Anniversary to Queen Margrethe II and Prince Henrik of Denmark, who got married on this day in 1967. Take a look at scenes from their wedding below-

Then Crown Princess Margrethe rode in a State Coach with her father through the crowd-lined streets of Copenhagen.

The Wedding Ceremony was held in the Holmens Kirke.

The couple rode back to Amalienborg Palace in the State Coach and then appeared on the balcony of the Palace.

Afterwards, there was a reception for 400 guests in the courtyard of nearby Fredensborg Palace. Later there was the Wedding Ball inside the Palace, which was attended by foreign royal guests.
