Crown Prince Haakon and Crown Princess Mette-Marit of Norway started their Official visit to Canada on November 7th in Ottawa. The Royal couple were greeted by Governor General David Johnston at Rideau Hall, visited the Canadian Museum of Nature, and attended a reception at the Canadian Museum of History. The evening before, the couple had dinner with Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and his wife, Sophie.

On November 7th, Crown Prince Haakon and Crown Princess Mette-Marit were welcomed by Governor General David Johnston at Rideau Hall in Ottawa. They attended an Arctic seminar and saw Inuit throat singing at the Canadian Museum of Nature.

In the evening, Crown Prince Haakon and Crown Princess Mette-Marit attended a reception at the Canadian Museum of History. They saw Norwegian pianist and composer Ola Gjeilo perform with the Chamber Players of Canada and the Capital Chamber Choir. Crown Princess Mette-Marit also gave a speech.
