Crown Princess Victoria and Prince Daniel in Copenhagen

Crown Princess Victoria and Prince Daniel of Sweden are on a Business Visit to Copenhagen from September 16th to the 18th, to strengthen the links and strategic cooperation between Danish and Swedish business. They are being hosted by their friends and cousins, Crown Prince Frederik (the current Regent) and Crown Princess Mary of Denmark, who made a similar visit to Stockholm two years ago.

On the evening of September 16th, Crown Princess Victoria and Prince Daniel attended a Reception hosted by the Swedish Ambassador to Denmark, Fredrik Jörgensen, at the Ambassador’s residence in Sankt Annæ Plads, followed by Dinner with the Danish Crown Princely Family at their home, Frederik VIII’s Palace, Amalienborg.

The following morning, Crown Princess Victoria and Prince Daniel were joined by Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary as they visited the UN City in Copenhagen’s Northern Port, welcomed by Grete Faremo, Executive Director of the UN Project Management Office, UNOPS, under the theme of innovative partnerships behind the UN World Sustainable Development Goals. Later, the two royal couples attended the Danish Industry Summit, where the Crown Prince presented the DI Prize 2019 while Crown Princess Victoria gave a speech.

Later, Crown Princess Victoria and Prince Daniel were joined by Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary for a Reception on HMS Nyköping, which was followed by Dinner at the Swedish Ambassador’s Residence with representatives from the Swedish and Danish business community.

On the final day, the Danish Crown Prince Couple and Swedish Crown Princess Couple participate together in the Swedish-Danish Business Forum at DI’s headquarters at City Hall Square, before visiting the House of Green, which presents a number of innovative green conversion solutions. Later, the two couples visited the Tech BBQ 2019 innovation conference in Øksnehallen, before Crown Princess Victoria and Crown Prince Frederik visited the Amager Bakke energy plant, both an incineration plant and a recreational hill for skiing, hiking and climbing. Meanwhile Crown Princess Mary and Prince Daniel visited the North Wing of the Rigshospitalet, going to the Children’s Kingdom and touring the North Wing, which officially opens in January.
