The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall have just completed an Official Visit to Germany from May 7th-10th, at the request and on behalf of the British Government, to demonstrate the depth and breadth of the UK–Germany bilateral relationship and its enduring importance to both countries. The visit highlighted key themes in the relationship, as well as the shared history and cultural connections. The Prince of Wales has visited Germany several times, both publicly and privately, most notably with the late Princess in 1987, while the Duchess of Cornwall made an official visit in 2009.

Judging by the photos, it looks like this was an excellent visit! The Duchess looked very nice, especially the long white and blue gown she wore for the state dinner. It’s a bit difficult to see, but I think she’s wearing her gorgeous diamond pear-drop necklace for the dinner. I’ll bet they’re glad to be back so they can visit their newest baby grandson!
