Crown Princess Mary in Texas

Crown Princess Mary of Denmark is on a Visit to the American cities of Houston and Austin in the State of Texas from March 10 to 13, to promote Danish business, especially at the “South by Southwest” festival in Austin. The Crown Princess lived in Texas for a couple of years in her childhood.

I dag indledte H.K.H. Kronprinsessen sit besøg i Texas, USA, hvor Hendes Kongelige Højhed de kommende dage står i spidsen for et dansk kultur- og erhvervsfremstød i byerne Austin og Houston. Besøget startede med et morgenmadsarrangement i Austin, hvor emnet var kvindelige lederes potentiale som rollemodeller, der opmuntrer og inspirerer andre kvinder og piger på et globalt plan. Efterfølgende besøgte Kronprinsessen festivalen South by Southwest (SXSW), der er verdens mest betydningsfulde festival inden for musik, tech, film, gastronomi og kunst. On March 10, Crown Princess Mary started her visit in Austin at a “Women in Leadership & How to Inspire the Next Generation of Women Leaders” breakfast event, followed by a tour of the “South by Southwest” festival, a Danish Gastronomy event, a meeting with Texas Governor Greg Abbott, two performances, and a Reception at the House of Scandinavia, where she gave a speech.

The following day, Crown Princess Mary was in Houston, where she met with Mayor Sylvester Turner at City Hall, followed by the Launch of cooperation between Denmark and Houston, and a Gala Dinner at the Houston Museum of Fine Arts.
