Westminster Myrtle Wreath Tiara
The 6th Duke of Westminster, Gerald Grosvenor, one of the richest men in the world, died recently. We are taking a look at one of the most worn tiaras from the Westminster collection; the Fabergé Myrtle Wreath Tiara. Made in 1906 by the renowned Russian jeweller, it has been worn by many members of the family, and has been loaned to various exhibitions. Duchess of Westminster’s Tiaras
The 6th Duke of Westminster, Gerald Grosvenor, the 3rd richest man in Britain, died this week from a heart attack aged 64. he left behind a widow and four children, of whom the eldest son, Hugh, inherits the title and fortune. As the Duchess to the richest aristocrat in Britain, Natalia, Duchess of Westminster wore many tiaras throughout her tenure. Her Grace still retains her usage of the Westminster jewels, as the new Duke is unmarried. A Myrtle Wreath Tiara is also in the Westminster collection, but hasn’t been worn by the Duchess.
Queen Anne of Romania’s Funeral
Queen Anne of Romania, beloved consort of King Micheal, who died on at the start of this month, was buried in Bucharest on August 13. Queen Anne’s body had been laying in State at different locations throughout Romania for the past few days. She was the first member of the royal family to receive a State Funeral since Queen Marie, who died in 1938. Continue reading
