Wedding of Prince of Wales and Lady Diana Spencer

The Prince of Wales married Lady Diana Spencer at St. Paul’s Cathedral on this day in 1981, in what was dubbed the ‘Wedding of the Century’. The couple had two sons, the Duke of Cambridge and Prince Harry, but separated in 1992, eventually divorcing in 1996. The former Princess of Wales tragically died in a car crash in Paris in 1997, while the Prince of Wales married Camilla Parker-Bowles in 2005. Duke of Cambridge’s last shift with East Anglia Air Ambulance

The Duke of Cambridge completed his last shift with the East Anglian Air Ambulance on July 27th at Cambridge Airport. The Duke joined EAAA as an Air Ambulance pilot in March 2015. Over the last two years, The Duke has enjoyed the opportunity to connect directly with the community of East Anglia and has valued being part of a team that provides such a critical and often life-saving public service. Royal Gifts at Buckingham Palace

Buckingham Palace is staging Royal Gifts, a special exhibition for the Summer Opening of the Palace in 2017. It features a wide-ranging display of official gifts presented to the Queen during the past 65 years. Also on display at the Palace is the desk of the late Diana, Princess of Wales, which includes items selected by the Duke of Cambridge and Prince Harry, as a tribute on the 20th Anniversary of her death. The exhibition runs from July 22nd to October 1st.
