The Russian Grand Duchess who married the first Greek King and was the grandmother of the Duke of Edinburgh among Royals from Greece, Spain, the United Kingdom, Romania, Serbia, and Italy, Queen Olga possessed many magnificent jewels as Queen Consort for almost five decades. South Korean State Visit to Spain

King Felipe and Queen Letizia of Spain are hosting President Moon Jae-In and First Lady Kim Jung-sook of South Korea, on a 2-day State Visit to Spain to strengthen political, economic, and diplomatic ties, on June 15th and 16th, which is the first incoming Royal State Visit since the start of the pandemic. The King and Queen visited South Korea in 2019, following the Enthronement of Emperor Naruhito of Japan.

Centenary of the Reunification of Denmark

Queen Margrethe II of Denmark was joined by Crown Prince Frederik and Prince Christian for the official celebration of the 100th anniversary of the Reunification of Denmark in Southern Jutland on June 13th, which was delayed from last year due to the ongoing Pandemic. In 1920, King Christian X ratified the law that incorporated Southern Jutland into Denmark, after a period under German rule for 56 years, and the Royal Family made a symbolic journey to Southern Jutland. Today marks the 150th Anniversary of the Birth of Princess Hélène of Orléans, Duchess of Aosta, who was born on this day in 1871! The Orléans Princess who married an Italian Prince and became a noted traveller and big-game hunter before becoming the Head of the Italian Red Cross, the Duchess possessed many splendid jewels, many of which have already been featured, so today we are featuring the Duchess’ splendid Emerald Necklace, one of her most well-known pieces today!
