King Felipe and Queen Letizia of Spain are hosting President Moon Jae-In and First Lady Kim Jung-sook of South Korea, on a 2-day State Visit to Spain to strengthen political, economic, and diplomatic ties, on June 15th and 16th, which is the first incoming Royal State Visit since the start of the pandemic. The King and Queen visited South Korea in 2019, following the Enthronement of Emperor Naruhito of Japan.
In the afternoon, King Felipe and Queen Letizia officially welcomed President Moon Jae-In and First Lady Kim Jung-sook of South Korea at an Official Welcome ceremony in the courtyard of the Royal Palace in Madrid. During the ceremony, the King and the President reviewed a battalion of the Royal Guard and viewed a parade. Later, the Spanish Royal Couple had a meeting with the Presidential Couple and were introduced to the South Korean delegation.

In the evening, King Felipe and Queen Letizia hosted a State Banquet in honour of the South Korean President Moon Jae-In and First Lady Kim Jung-sook at the Royal Palace of Madrid. Both the King and President gave speeches. Due to the Pandemic, it was agreed that no Orders and Tiaras would be worn (such a pity).
