On the evening after today’s Trooping the Colour Ceremony, the Principal Platinum Jubilee Beacon, involving The Tree of Trees (a 21m high ‘tree’ constructed of 350 smaller trees), was lit by the Queen at Windsor Castle, as the Duke of Cambridge presided over a special ceremony at outside Buckingham Palace. Members of the British Royal family celebrated the Queen’s Official Birthday by attending the annual Trooping the Colour ceremony in London on June 2nd, launching the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee Weekend Festivities. They rode on horses and in carriages to inspect the guards at Horse Guards Parade and then watched a RAF Flypast from the Balcony of Buckingham Palace. The Duke of Cambridge presided over the Colonel’s Review of the Irish Guards last week.

Buckingham Palace has announced that there will be limited attendance from members of the Royal Family on the Balcony of Buckingham Palace after Trooping the Colour tomorrow. Whereas, in the past, the entire extended Royal Family would appear, this year only the main working Royals are set to join the Queen. This led us to remember the instances when Foreign Royals have joined the British Royal Family on the Balcony after Trooping the Colour, so this is the perfect opportunity to feature that!
