Royal Air Force Centenary

Members of the British Royal Family attended a series of events marking the centenary of the Royal Air Force in London on July 10th, with a service in Westminster Abbey, followed by a parade in The Mall and spectacular flypast over Buckingham Palace. The Royal Air Force (RAF) – the world’s first independent air force – was founded on 1 April 1918, independent of the British Army and Royal Navy. Trooping the Colour 2018

Members of the British Royal family celebrated the Queen’s Official Birthday by attending the annual Trooping the Colour ceremony in London on June 9th. They rode in carriages to inspect the guards at Horse Guards Parade and then watched a flypast on the Balcony of Buckingham Palace. This was the first year that the Duke of Edinburgh was not present.
