Happy Birthday to Princess Aminah Maimunah Iskandariah of Johor, who celebrates her 40th Birthday today! The only daughter of the incumbent Malaysian King and Queen, Princess Aminah received this striking Diamond Tiara set with a large Yellow Diamond upon her wedding nearly a decade ago!
When Tunku Tun Aminah Maimunah Iskandariah, the only daughter of the Sultan and Raja Permaisuri of Johor, married Dutch Dennis Verbaas in 2017, she received this magnificent White and Yellow Diamond Tiara created by the Singapore-based jeweller Royal Insignia, featuring a central cushion-cut yellow diamond, surrounded by pear, marquise, and emerald-cut white diamonds set in white gold.
Princess Aminah Maimunah Iskandariah first debuted the White and Yellow Diamond Tiara for her Istiadat Persandingan Diraja Ceremony at the Istana Besar in Johor Bahru in 2017.
Alongside the Tiara, Princess Aminah wore a three-strand Diamond Necklace with a large Yellow Diamond Pendant and a pair of Diamond Earrings, which seem to be among her wedding gifts and has been worn more often than the Tiara.
More recently, Princess Aminah wore the White and Yellow Diamond Tiara again for the Banquet held to mark the Installation of her parents as the King and Queen of Malaysia in 2024. Let’s hope we see the Tiara worn again soon!
Earlier that day, Princess Aminah she had debuted another Tiara, this one featuring a large green stone, possibly an Emerald or a Tourmaline, at the Installation of the Yang di Pertuan Agong and Raja Permaisuri Agong. It is not known if that Tiara is a personal possession or a piece from the Johor vaults.
