The Raja Permaisuri Agong (Queen of Malaysia) joined the Yang di-Pertuan Agong (King of Malaysia) as he presided over the Opening Ceremony of the First Meeting of the Second Term of the 15th Parliament in the Dewan Rakyat in Kuala Lumpur on February 13th. This was the King’s final address to the Dewan Rakyat during his Tenure as Yang di-Pertuan Agong, which will end at the end of January 2024.
Sultan Abdullah Ria’yatuddin Al Mustafa Billah Shah, The Sultan of Pahang and Yang di-Pertuan Agong (King of Malaysia) and Tunku Azizah Aminah, the Tengku Ampuan of Pahang and Raja Permaisuri Agong (Queen of Malaysia) [wearing the Gandik Diraja Tiara and Kalung Diraja Necklace] were greeted by the Prime Minister, Dato ‘ Seri Anwar Ibrahim, and other dignitaries before receiving the Royal Salute and reviewing the Guard of Honour from the First Battalion of the Royal Malay Army Regiment.
The Yang di-Pertuan Agong then delivered his Speech in the Dewan Rakyat, which began with:
In the country’s history, I am the one Yang di-Pertuan Agong who has been given the duty to govern the country alongside four prime ministers and four different Cabinets”
Thank you also to all of my people who live in peace and harmony, who have been brave in facing the pandemic, economic depression and the political instability that struck the nation,”

With the greatest respect, I respectfully opine that Her Majesty the Queen is NOT wearing the Kalung Diraja, because the somewhat long diamond neck chain worn by Her Majesty has a central Pahang State emblem diamond pendant [the Pahang state emblem resembles a pair of criss crossed 🐘 elephant tusks flanking a Tombak (a Spear) in the centre] whereas I have read in The Court Jeweller website/blog that the diamonds elements in the very much longer/much more lengthy Kalung Diraja resemble spiders (commentary in The Court Jeweler or is it the Royal Watcher blog?) and I think somewhat resemble multiple pointed organically shaped diamond ✨ stars (my own opinion). Thank you.
