Indian State Visit to The Netherlands

King Willem-Alexander and Queen Máxima of The Netherlands are hosting President Ram Nath Kovind and First Lady Savita Kovind of India, on their three-day State Visit to The Netherlands from April 4th to the 6th to promote and celebrate diplomatic, economic, and cultural ties in the year that both countries celebrate 75 years of diplomatic relations, most recently the King and Queen’s State Visit to India in 2019.

King Willem-Alexander and Queen Máxima officially welcomed President Ram Nath Kovind and First Lady Savita Kovind outside the Royal Palace on Dam Square in Amsterdam. After an inspection of the guard of honour, the President laid a wreath at the National Monument on Dam Square, which was followed by a reception with Dutch authorities and the Indian dignitaries.

In the evening, King Willem-Alexander and Queen Máxima (wearing a Luisa Beccaria gown with the Dutch Aquamarine Tiara) hosted a State Banquet in honour of President Ram Nath Kovind and First Lady Savita Kovind of India at the Royal Palace in Amsterdam. Both the King and President gave speeches. Princess Beatrix (wearing the Antique Pearl Tiara) was also present.

On the final evening of the State Visit, King Willem-Alexander and Queen Máxima (wearing her Ruby Flower Earrings) attended a Concert and Performance hosted by President Ram Nath Kovind and First Lady Savita Kovind at the Muziekgebouw aan ‘t IJ, to celebrate 75 years of diplomatic relations,
