Last week, the Queen was presented with a Duke of Edinburgh Rose to mark what would have been Prince Phillip’s 100th birthday tomorrow. The newly bred deep pink rose from has officially been named in memory of her late consort, and was given to the Queen by the President of the Royal Horticultural Society. The Duke played a significant role in the design of the East Terrace Garden at Windsor Castle, where the deep pink commemorative rose has been planted. A royalty from the sale of each rose will go to The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award Living Legacy Fund.
