The Engagement of Prince Edward, Duke of Kent, the eldest son of the late Duke of Kent and Princess Marina, Duchess of Kent, and the Katherine Worsley, daughter of daughter of Sir William and Lady Worsley, at Kensington Palace in London on this day in 1961, where they were joined by Prince Marina, Sir William and Lady Worsley, and Princess Alexandra. The couple got married at York Minster in June and have three children and ten grandchildren.
