The Wedding of Prince Franz Josef von Auersperg-Trautson, son of Prince Edouardo Auersperg-Trautson and Countess Isabel d’Astremont-Lynden, and Archduchess Maria Constanza of Austria, daughter of Archduke Carl Ludwig of Austria and Princesse Yolande de Ligne, at the Église Notre-Dame du Sablon in Brussels on this day in 1994. The couple have four daughters.

On the evening before, there was a Ball at the Château de Beloeil, the seat of the bride’s maternal family, which was attended by a plethora of royal guests and relatives including Archduke Carl-Christian of Austria and Princess Astrid of Luxembourg,  Princess Astrid of Belgium with Archduke Lorenz of Austria-Este, Hereditary Grand Duke Henri and Hereditary Grand Duchess Maria-Teresa of Luxembourg, Prince Guillaume of Luxembourg, the Marques de Mariño and Princess Nora of Lichtenstein.

  1. Looking back through 21st century eyes, I much prefer the pre wedding ballgown. But the bride looked beautiful, even if her dress has not stood the test of time and looks really dated.
