Sultan Abdullah Ria’yatuddin Al Mustafa Billah Shah, The Sultan of Pahang and Yang di-Pertuan Agong has been celebrating his Official Birthday in a series of celebrations in Pekan and Putrajaya over the past few days. The King celebrated his 61st Birthday in July.

Celebrations began at the Istana Abu Bakar in Pekan, the Royal City of the State of Pahang, on August 15th, where the Crown Prince and Regent Tengku Mahkota Hassanal Shah of Pahang presented his siblings and officials with the Pahang Darul Makmur State Order in an Investiture Ceremony followed by a Luncheon.

On August 17th, the Yang di-Pertuan Agong was joined by Raja Permaisuri Agong Tunku Azizah Aminah (wearing the Gandik Diraja Tiara) and their family for a Parade and Investiture at the Istana Melawati in Putrajaya, the secondary Palace of the Malaysian King. The King also gave a speech addressing the ongoing pandemic.
