Happy Birthday to Princess Eugenie of York, who turns 29 today! Despite being a grand daughter of the Queen, and 9th-in-line of succession, she doesn’t have a significant jewellery collection, but we are focusing on a recent addition to her jewellery box, her Wedding Earrings.

Described as “diamond and emerald drop ear-rings which are a Wedding gift from the Groom,” in the Official Press Release, they made a splendid pairing with the Greville Emerald Kokoshnik Tiara, on loan from the Queen, at Princess Eugenie’s Wedding to Jack Brooksbank.
Princess Eugenie also wore the earrings for the private evening dinner at Royal Lodge, Windsor, paired with a Zac Posen gown and Queen Victoria’s Wheat-Ear Brooches in her hair.
The Wedding Earrings have not been publicly worn by Princess Eugenie since the wedding, but you can go see them on display, with the rest of the wedding outfits, at Windsor Castle until April 22nd.

Those are beautiful earrings and I hope that he’s motivated to give her a piece of jewel for each anniversary. Of course, she needs to start getting motivated to wearing jewelry. Both she and her sister wear little or no jewelry, regardless of the occasion. That’s why I was so delighted to see her wear Jack’s gift! 🙂
